Breaking Out in a Rationale

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I don’t understand why T. Boone Pickens has put his much-touted wind energy plans on hold. Does he know something about the mid-term future of fossil fuels that the rest of us do not? Regardless of how much he’s invested in wind-tech thus far, it rather undermines the seriousness of his recent proposition that we are facing a crisis when this is how he responds to such a drop as we have lately seen —albeit a pretty huge one— in the prices of oil and gas. It just seems strange. Pickens is in the last quarter of his life —and you gotta figure he’s got the mortgage covered— so why wouldn’t he persist with the next big thing?

Hopiate of the Masses

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Barack Hussein Obama is a disaster in the making —and the American people apparently can’t be bothered. All those lies and manipulations are going to matter at some point, but for now, there’s a new religion in America —a religion of demagoguery, totalitarianism, and insults to our culture.

Once again, I will neither bend my knee nor wear the soulless mask of the enraptured.

The Great Kenyan Poll-Swallowing Competition

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

I just found myself watching a couple minutes of Anderson Cooper on CNN —and he’s simply appalling. Are he and his fellow Obama fluffers even capable of shame at this point? To routinely do everything one can to minimize Obama’s liabilities while simultaneously questioning anything to do with Sarah Palin or her boss is simply advocacy. Do you understand what that word means, hippies? It means that Cooper and Campbell Brown and the meretricious David Gergen and all the other wretched whores on Ted Turner’s old TV station are paid spokespeople for the Obama campaign. They speak out on his behalf while trying to tear down the Republicans. What’s the great scandal tonight? Palin’s and her daughters’ travel expenses? Their wardrobe and make-up budgets? Jesus Christ! Where’s a story about Obama’s support for infanticide? How about a story on his corrupt land deal with Rezko? What does Obama think of Biden’s warnings that we will be deliberately tested by our enemies because of Obama’s inexperience? How many different ways does the Unqualified Liar have of lying about his alliance with and sympathy for the notorious founder of ther Weather Underground, Bill Ayers? He’s lying about that —but nobody cares because the people who occupy the cable news-space are his fucking followers!

If John McCain wins this thing, the era of Big Media is done. That’s a definite KIA. Big Media may be done even if Obama wins because only then will the American public begin to see how many different lies these sorry bastards told us for the sake of their ideological messiah.

No more of your dishonorable nonsense, CNN. You’re done in my household.

Biden Unburdened

Monday, October 20th, 2008

I mean, like, holy shit, Joe (emphases mine):

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday [19 October 2008]. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Ha, ha! What?! Is this why Biden’s no longer available for “availabilities”? Because his foot is in a constant struggle to get into and out of his big mouth? What on Earth is this man trying to suggest? That Obama’s inexperience itself will invite intrigue against us? And that, no matter what his responses are, the nauseating liberal morans will be expected to keep their regrets to themselves?

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.

Watch your wallets, my friends. Clean and Jerk are about to steal your sorry, bourgeois asses blind. No? What “systemic problems” is Biden referring to, do you suppose? Insufficient taxation of the dirty business-owning class? That pesky antipathy working people have against giving their money to chain-smoking daytime TV-watchers who are working on baby number whatever?

You think wealth is the only thing that’s getting spread around here? The Great Society was so great that you just knew it had to have a sequel, so drop some trou and think of [England].

The Letting Go

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Many of us who are opposed to Barack Obama —because of the enormous lies he tells about himself, as well as the extreme Leftism hidden in his story— are too slow to surrender to reality. We cannot yet accept that the America we live in is ready to hand the keys over to a narcissistic socialist in the White House and the most liberal Congress in 35 years. The disconnect may be attributed to a quaint adherence to the old standards of patriotism and, indeed, politics. When else, after all, have we made a cultural interloper of this degree our President? I don’t refer to his racial identity —although that’s certainly there— but to his foreignness. He doesn’t have a claim on this culture that I would recognize as American. Instead, he is a harbinger of the Post-American Man —the Citizen of the World who, on nothing but the power of celebrity and diabolism, went before the German throngs and debased what we are. Yes: debased. He reduced what this Republic is to a mistake that needs to be apologized for. So I do not trust his motives and I do not like his supporters, who strike me as woefully ignorant and emotional little feelers. They do not have any reason to support this man but for their emotional reaction to him. They are taking him on faith. What else do they have, though? Some evidence of his worth such as, you know, an achievement? Ask a hundred of his followers and not two of them together could tell you a single fucking thing he’s achieved that would warrant his elevation to the Presidency.

Anyway, we supporters of McCain and Palin are on our own little fools’ errands in trying to persuade the public of the dangers of this New Socialism. I have —and will have, be sure— no regrets for my own part in criticizing Obama, but it’s still poignant to read the people I depend on for my information trying so hard to break a story or pursue a new line of investigation in these last, though interminable, weeks. They want so much for what they write to matter, but it does not. What Obama draws on now is not the rational considerations of informed voters, but the raucous and fanatic emotionalism of the new idolatry —an anti-Bush and anti-Right movement determined to replace what it despises. You will not reach into those little rodental heads and convince them of anything: The One must be made the Change We Need.

What Obama is —as a man and as a patriot— is somehow irrelevant now. The icon got ahead of his reality. These are the days for dreaming. Not American Dreaming, of course; that would be too provincial. These are the days, rather, for illusions and fantasies and all the thoughts of absolution we will enjoy once we do to ourselves what must be done. Now the abnegating! Now the denigrating!

The knowing comes later. The realization must come, but last.

Inexpiation

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

As before, when Obama very self-consciously denounced Jeremiah Wright and so was allowed to walk away from that particular history and alliance unscathed by public opinion, it is happening again with the renewed efforts at hanging Bill Ayers around the Unqualified Liar’s neck. Barack Obama is not being made to answer for anything. It is not expected that he would stand and deliver a justification for his life of ideological anti-Americanism. Why is that? Why are there so many millions of my fellow-citizens who do not value knowing the most basic things about a man whom they have ordained to be the President of the United States?

The desire for “change” is apparently so great in this country that the majority of us are determined to ignore things about Obama’s life that would have destroyed any other candidate. There’s no way to deny that, if John McCain were found to be a long-time associate of an abortion clinic bomber, he would be ruined. Yet Obama’s extensive ties to Bill Ayers are deemed irrelevant. It is an outrageous frustration of the simple principle of a common standard.

When Obama made his egomaniacal tour across Europe, it was common to hear and read news analysts confuse appearance with reality, everywhere claiming that the few hours Obama spent in this country or that were all that was needed to make him “Presidential.” Not make him appear to be Presidential but, in fact, to be Presidential.

Similarly, by having done nothing more than to assert his rejection of hateful garbagemen like Wright and Ayers, Obama has somehow expiated the sin of those associations; as though there were some incantatory power in the tenor of his voice that makes things so simply by being invoked. I see this as evidence of a diabolism that exists where novelty presumes to reset the proper order of things; the more conservative paradigm that made the pursuit of middle-classness a worthy goal in America now stands to be swapped with a totalitarian idealism and serf mentality. Americans are not naturally communistic, but the stock falls or morphs, so who knows what we are, anymore? Do we really no longer believe in our individualism inside of the great plurality? I can’t stand to think it.

I don’t want the New Socialism in America. I don’t want some arrogant demagogue and liar saying what’s what, either. I want a well-regulated free market where things like ethics, standards, and citizenship matter. I want us to remain a country —not just some fungible ”idea.”

It Makes Me Sad to Think That Man Could Become Our President

Friday, October 10th, 2008

I’m sure that’s funny to some people I know, but I am utterly in earnest. The extent of the obvious contempt for their country the Democrats have shown by Barack Obama’s nomination is truly shocking to me —and I am ashamed of these people, though some be my friends and family.

Education

Monday, October 6th, 2008

If Obama’s judgement is so superior to that of his political opponents, then let him explain his judgement —on multiple occasions and over many years— in consorting with a domestic terrorist like Bill Ayers. Let him explain in detail his involvement with this anti-American bomb-maker who helped to make him the chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Let’s hear him talk about their work together on education. Obama can’t avoid the question of education, can he? Does he have any ideas from that time that he’d like to share with the rest of the class? He has some interest in charter schools, I hear —but only so long as they comport with his and Ayers’ Leftist agenda of socialist indoctrination. But what do the teachers’ unions think about charter schools? Avoiding them isn’t why Obama doesn’t reference his time on the CAC board with the anti-American asshole Ayers, though. It’s because he knows that talking about the CAC and the Woods Foundation gives the rest of us a reason to ask about Ayers.

Senator McCain, you can’t let another day go by without pounding on this unqualified liar. Tomorrow night, you need to ask Obama about his experience in education. Just ask him about that.

Absolute Horseshit

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Among the many bizarre and inexplicable things Joe Biden said in last night’s debate, I nominate his brief history of modern Lebanon as the shiningest example:

When we kicked — along with France, we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon, I said and Barack said, “Move NATO forces in there. Fill the vacuum, because if you don’t know — if you don’t, Hezbollah will control it.”

Now what’s happened? Hezbollah is a legitimate part of the government in the country immediately to the north of Israel.

Has Biden gone mad? I ask this sincerely. Does he have some sort of organic brain disorder that would compel him to make such demonstrably untrue claims? Unbelievable. Read Michael J. Totten’s incredulous response:

What on Earth is he talking about? The United States and France may have kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon in an alternate universe, but nothing even remotely like that ever happened in this one.

Nobody – nobody – has ever kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon. Not the United States. Not France. Not Israel. And not the Lebanese. Nobody.

Joe Biden has literally no idea what he’s talking about.

Moreover, I have never once heard anything about Obama calling for NATO intervention in Lebanon. When did such a thing happen? When the Second Lebanon War broke out in the summer of 2006, was Obama really calling for NATO to keep the peace in Lebanon? Call me crazy, but I think that’s utter nonsense.

Needless to say, Big Media is far too busy fellating Obamachrist to question Biden’s hallucinatory account. Equally needless to add, although I must, is that such claims, had they been made by Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin, would have drawn derisive howls from such miserable fluffers as David Gergen and Anderson Cooper and the other Leftist craphounds at CNN. Did the anti-American reporter Michael Ware manage to raise an eyebrow at the news that we evicted Hizballah from Lebanon? Doubt it.

In a just world, Biden’s remarks would be regarded as even weirder than Gerald Ford’s claim in his 1976 debate with Carter that there was no Soviet domination of Poland.

But this isn’t a just world.

Stranger

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

Obamachrist’s on the Senate floor right now, pontificating in his usual way —and he genuinely looks out of place. I don’t think that about Biden or HRC or McCain; in my mind’s eye, I can recall seeing those particular characters in that setting. But Obama? No. He seems small —smaller still without the applause of his adoring cultists.

How can this man be seen by anybody as the answer to anything? He is a tedious, self-absorbed hack with a grand talent for drawing in people on nothing more than the frequency of his tenor.

The ignorance of American political society is ascendant. I cannot explain it. I cannot deny it. Providence spare us all.
