Michelle Robinson Obama

Monday, August 25th, 2008

She’s a beautiful lady and she did her husband a great service tonight. It was an almost perfectly delivered speech with many of the same oratorical tricks Obama himself uses to mimic human concern. But then he showed up as some sort of disembodied head —like them spooky fuckers from the trial scene at the start of Superman. What a thoroughly unnecessary intrusion into what was otherwise a thespian triumph. The man is absolutely helpless before the might of his ego. Sheer preposterity!

Nancy Pelosi

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Nancy Pelosi, who showed how to wear white out (yeow!) before Labor Day this evening, apparently doesn’t know that natural gas is a fossil fuel. In her appearance on Meet the Press yesterday, she repeatedly made this ignorance clear, as John Hinderaker culled from the transcript in the quotes below:

BROKAW: Well, I think most people understand that, but at the same time, if we work our way off carbon-based fuels, in the meantime, this is not going to happen overnight.

PELOSI: No, it isn’t, but you could — again, you could reduce the price at the pump immediately with (inaudible). You can have a transition with natural gas. You can have a transition with natural gas. That is cheap, abundant and clean compared to fossil fuels.
***
PELOSI: I’m — I’m investing in something I believe in. I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels.
***
PELOSI: Well, that’s not — that is the marketplace. The fact is, the supply of natural gas is so big, and you do need a transition if you’re going to go from fossil fuels, as you say, you can’t do it overnight, but you must transition.

These investments in wind, in solar and biofuels and focus on natural gas, these are the real alternatives.

That’s remarkable. Does she really not know that natural gas is a carbon-based fuel? This is the woman who has the power of life and death over our energy policies? Remarkable.

How Pathetic Is Steve Simels?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Let’s go to the tape:

I am particularly looking forward to Toby on election night. I await his eloquent last words before blowing his brain out upon the announcement of the Obama landslide.

Only a loser would sit there hogging the computer in the dayroom of a half-way house and fantasizing about my death. Simels, get help. And let some of the other drug addicts have a chance at checking their email, too.

Channeling Bob Herbert

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Overheard on MSNBC right now: “They want change, they want hope, they want a nude erection.”

Is it really true to say that what makes Obama’s candidacy “historic” in the minds of his supporters is not also what they believe to be what qualifies him for the task of the Presidency? One cannot believe both together and not be —literally— a racist. Surely, by even their own dim lights, there must be aspects of Obama’s character or campaign that the liberal Left concedes are rightly subject to criticism. He cannot be exempt unless his supporters are saying that he has papal-like infallibility.

Don’t doubt that he has such supporters. Unapologetically race-minded advocates who dare call a racist anyone who opposes their man. What drones. What scabrous scrapings of men and foolish women.

No more race martyrs. Just promote the American Way and all will be forgiven.

Shockingly Stupid

Monday, August 18th, 2008

I’m watching yesterday’s Fox News Sunday program and Claire McCaskill’s defense of Obama’s reaction to the Russo-Georgian Olympics war is laughable. Did you watch that? She’s almost shockingly stupid (emphases mine):

WALLACE: Senator McCaskill, one of Obama’s top foreign policy advisers, Susan Rice, went after McCain this week, and let’s take a look at what she had to say. “John McCain shot from the hip a very aggressive, very belligerent statement. He may or may not have complicated the situation.”

Senator, how did McCain complicate the situation? Or was he just quicker than Obama to understand and recognize Russian aggression?

MCCASKILL: Oh, listen, there’s no question that Barack Obama understood this as Russian aggression and took a strong and principled stand against the actions of Russia, but this is not a time to make political points. What Barack Obama has said…

WALLACE: But I mean, excuse me. But I mean, it was Susan Rice who was making political points, Obama’s top foreign policy adviser.

MCCASKILL: I think John McCain’s reaction to what happened in Russia did not reflect well on the position he should have taken, and that is one of understanding we have one president in this country, and that Secretary of State Rice and President Bush need the support of both presidential candidates in a very tricky time as it relates to Russia and the neighboring states that are trying to establish democracies.

Here are two Obama surrogates —Susan Rice and McCaskill— who are utterly blind to their own man’s idiocy. Is it possible that Obama’s campaign believes that McCain has antagonized or goaded Russia into seizing more and more control of Georgia? That’s ridiculous. The only people John McCain has goaded is their crew. Or is it all somehow related to the Obamans’ claims that McCain adviser Randy Scheunemann is somehow manipulating events in Georgia, too? What nuttiness.

Far clumsier is McCaskill’s idea that Obama respects the prerogative that Bush and his Secretary of State must exercise in dealing with what is actually quite a shocking development, when you stop to think of it: Russia has attacked one of its former Soviet republics? Amazing development. But, in fact, it’s obvious that Obama regards himself as a world statesman already —a citizen of the world, one is tempted to add— who is in no need of deferring to a mere President of the United States on such minor issues as our withdrawal from Iraq or from NAFTA or on other foreign affairs.

McCaskill is a frivolous hack who expects her rewards in an Obama Administration, but who will get none and justly. The idea that this country would surrender itself to the absurdity of this Democratic phenomenon becomes smaller in my mind all the time. But I fear it could happen, even though it must not.

We need this Democratic Convention to be a huge disaster. Things need to go viral and haywire —shockingly stupid. Obama can get the stupid started tomorrow by picking someone other than Hillary. Please, please, let it be Joe Biden.

“Members of the Establishment”

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Barack Hussein Obama is helpless in the face of his own ego. Which may explain why he has apparently authorized his campaign to release a 40-page point-by-point rebuttal of Jerome Corsi’s best-selling attack on him. I’ve read about half of it so far and the second-biggest mistake they make —after their foolish acknowledgement of Corsi’s work in such a fussy and conspicuous manner in the first place— is the ridiculous assertion that

AYERS AND DOHRN ARE MEMBERS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT WITH TIES TO THE MAYOR

Ha, ha! Really? The “establishment”?! Obama really thinks he can defend his long-term associations with a pair of unrepentant terrorists from the 1960s by insulting them in such a way? Is there any clearer evidence that this unqualified liar has no ear —no real sense— for the moral center of our culture? He is a cultural interloper and an embarrassment of the anti-Americanism of the Democratic Party.

Listen carefully, Barry. Your friends and mentors are anti-American assholes —and you are their lord and savior. Your candidacy is almost hallucinatorily preposterous; a weird outburst of mass stupidity so severe that it mocks all reason. How did you get so far? By lying. By bullying the liberal losers who infest the Democratic Party into totally surrendering their asses to your perilous brand of racist and socialist nonsense in a new package.

Get thee behind me, deceiver.

Abu Plame and Valerie Ghraib Are Dead

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Looks like the Joe and Valerie Wilson Show hit another dead end today:

WASHINGTON, Aug 12 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Tuesday dismissed former CIA analyst Valerie Plame’s lawsuit against Vice President Dick Cheney and several former Bush administration officials for disclosing her identity to the public.

The Court of Appeals in Washington dealt another setback to the former spy, who has said her career was destroyed when officials blew her cover in 2003 to retaliate against her husband, Iraq war critic Joseph Wilson.

But it was Joe and Valerie who destroyed her CIA career by exploiting the opportunity she got him through her employment to try to publicly undermine the President’s case for war against a legitimate enemy. They doubled down on their stupidity with their disloyal liberal crap —and it’s gotten them nothing but the good opinion of people whose judgement isn’t worth the third bar piss of the night. People like the lunatic Larry Johnson and the anti-car tosser Duncan Black.

Guess it’s off to Hef’s mansion now, eh?

Parse Some Money

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

It’s already boring, but just read the following passage from John Edwards’ confession yesterday:

I only know that the apparent father has said publicly that he is the father of the baby. I also have not been engaged in any activity of any description that requested, agreed to or supported payments of any kind to the woman or to the apparent father of the baby.

Sounds like someone’s paying hush money. Sounds like at least one other person is demanding it. Jesus. This thing isn’t even half-done, is it?

The Epistemological Imprimatur

Friday, August 8th, 2008

The usual Leftist ninnies are just mewling about about John Edwards’ anti-climactic confession of adultery this afternoon, but I couldn’t care less about the Hyperambitious Phony’s love life; I’m frankly surprised he would take valuable time away from teasing his do to fornicate. The greatest scandal, after all, is not Silkiness’ human frailty, but the extreme and undeniable pro-Democratic bias of Big Media. I’m talking about the Tiffany Network and the Electric Peacocks and the Grey Lady and the Whore of Babylon (oh, alright —the Los Angeles Times). The major broadcast and cable news organizations and the major wire services that feed them put an unambiguous embargo on the mere discussion of a legitimate news story involving a man who was a Vice Presidential nominee in 2004. These craven manipulators of America’s public opinion took it upon themselves —in a massive group demonstration of antitrust— to purposely ignore what is now proven to be the truth about a major public figure. Had this major public figure been a Republican, there cannot be any question that the whole sordid thing would have been analyzed and hyped beyond all recognition. The New York Times made damned sure to wonder aloud on its front pages just a couple months ago about a flimsy non-story (i.e., a lie) involving John McCain and some female lobbyist, but then suddenly found journalistic integrity and declined to condescend to the level of the National Enquirer when it came to the Breck Girl? What monstrous hypocrisy. What discreditable conduct for the so-called Paper of Record.

Americans should be ashamed that we still permit a small handful of obvious Democratic partisans to control the greater part of the television and print media in this country. It is an indictment of our information-gathering habits —especially in these days of the World Wide Web— that the news isn’t news for most Americans until the man on the TV says so. The wretched Wolf Blitzer is on my TV right now, as a matter of fact, breathlessly unburdening himself about this nonsense when one knows that his network wouldn’t have just waited around for manna from heaven if this mess had been about Cheney or McCain; they would have sought it out like the craphounds they are. CNN wouldn’t have sat back wondering whether they should put their seal on this story —and thereby verify it in the public mind— but that’s what happened here, anyway, isn’t it? They waited until they couldn’t wait any longer. And for one reason: because John Edwards is a Democrat.

Big Media is a meretricious drag on the quality of our political discourse. It is a great joy to me every time I hear that Pinch Sulzberger’s stocks have fallen again or that the LA Times is laying off more and more staff or that nobody’s watching Madame Couric. Real, triumphant joy. I somehow believe —if only for a while— that it may yet be possible to really democratize our political knowledge as Americans and throw the sorry apologists out.

Why I’ve Been Listening to Limbaugh Again After All These Years

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Well, for one thing, I have a great new vehicle that came with a stereo. Both of which I earned by working hard for my money. I used to have a stereo in my old jalopy until some walking pieces of used food tried to abscond with it one night —but couldn’t, so they just left a jagged wound in my car dash, which I deliberately left as such for the rest of the time I owned the car as a reminder of what happens when you live amongst subhumans with no honor.

So I’m listening to Rush Limbaugh again after many years of not listening to his egomaniacal crapola —and it’s because he’s a well-organized shit-stirrer par excellence. I mean, he’s gotten really good at what he does. And because he knows how to brutalize him some dumbasses, with which this society is brimming.

I only get about 15 minutes or so of it a day when I head out to slop, but it’s almost always worth the time. Today, for instance, he ran a clip of a response Obamachrist made yesterday to a 7 year-old girl who asked him why he’s running for President:

America, uh, is —is no longer, uh, what it —it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, “I don’t want that future for my children.”

From there, Limbaugh just rips the hell out of this unqualified liar and I am hooting and hollering at the justice of it all. I mean, after all, what a stupid answer to give to a little girl. Is he serious? Is there any doubt that he and the wife just stew in their bitterness and sense of entitlement, 24-7? What the hell does he know about what America “used” to be? America “used” to be a place where a black man couldn’t get served a sandwich at a lunch counter. Is that the place he’s talking about?

Pay attention, moran: you aren’t qualified to be the President of the United States. Period. I hope Mrs. Clinton and her supporters give you a major pain in the ass in Denver ’cause, baby, you earned it.
