Now that the President has made regime change in Libya a personal goal, his war there will be a failure if Khaddafi and his family wind up staying in power. Thus, his belief that he can prosecute this war from the air and in a limited way and without calling it war and without appearing to be responsible for it is delusional. Obama has abandoned so many of his own anti-war principles that he is simply incredible. Will his partisans hold him responsible? No, but some of the more clever ones might try to show they have a little intellectual integrity by criticizing him by proxy in criticizing his Administration, particulary Hillary. They’ll use her as soon as things turn so bad that not even Sulzberger or Immelt or Soros could work to hide it from the public.
Bottom line: the President waited too long to defend the people of Libya against their own government. By missing the window so badly, this war will be prolonged. And it may even turn Obama’s uncritical masses in the soft middle against him.
Reagan tried to kill Khaddafi; Obama now must kill Khaddafi.

In rewatching President Obama’s SOTU address from last night, I think he genuinely believes that the State is the source of prosperity and the driver of our economy, rather than a regulator and competitor that only grows to encroach upon personal liberty and to ultimately co-opt and then expropriate the actual reason America works and can afford Big Government: private capital. This stuff about this being a “Sputnik moment” and a time for Apollo projects of our own is an example of his thoroughgoing Marxism. Don’t look away from that assessment or reflexively dismiss it, either! Obama believes that the State originates innovation, when all it can really do is fund private contractors and academia in furtherance of some political agenda. With his two examples, both of which involved an agency (i.e., NASA) that he now wants to cut and marginalize, Obama apparently sees us in some sort of equivalent to the race into space or to the Moon —but in what way now, some 50 years on? What goal do we have as Americans that can be achieved collectively today? Why does he think the American economy grows by the diktats of a central authority? America has no ideological foe to compete against now, but to destroy. That is an ugly fact that won’t be leaving the room empty-handed.
And look at what’s left of the Democratic morons who now want to stand with Republicans to applaud the repeal of Obamacare’s 1099 provisions! If they had taken the time and care last year to address our health care deficiencies in America properly and honestly, they wouldn’t have included such a thing. But now they want to stand and cheer it down?

I hear the Great Orator Whose Election Healed the Planet held a formal press conference this afternoon at the White House. Remember when the long stretches between these events was remarked upon in snide terms by professional opinion-givers as evidence of Bushitler’s cowardice and/or secrecy? Oh, come now. Sure you do. I haven’t seen the replay yet, but I assume that Obamjesus’ fake-assed Stokely Carmichael routine was probably more constrained by the venue, but it remains for me to be seen.
Anyway, the President’s proposal of sustaining the “Bush tax cuts” —but only for those making $250,000 a year or less— is evidence of a couple of things:
First, it indicates that Barack Hussein Obama cannot stop attacking Small Business. This is because small businesses are the economic engine of this country. Marxist warlords don’t like or understand such entities because they (i.e., small business and this country) don’t depend directly on such warlords’ favor to succeed. Small businesses are too numerous for Leviathan to control. And so are the patriots of this country. Thus, this woefully unprepared liar who doesn’t understand the capitalist model or its inextricable links to the very nature of this country is busily destroying our economy by forcing the square peg of his theoretician’s nonsense into the round hole of the actual free market. It’s been a total disaster because the guy doesn’t know what principles this country is built on.
This proposal also shows that Obama is desperate. He believes he can keep the good opinion of the so-called middle class by soaking the rich. But it’s “the rich” who do the hiring and the investing and the spending in America. Obamajesus thinks he’s gonna end their capital strike by depressing those activities with higher taxes? Who, besides his asshole cronies and fluffers, are gonna tell him that’s a good idea?
When this President goes off-script and starts winging it, he embarrasses himself. And, really, that’s good. Because when powerful men don’t have the character to admit that they were wrong, they persist in their errors out of pride and commit horrible deeds that hurt millions. And for this sin, they are drummed out of office and made into pariahs.
We are witnesses to the evolution of a byword for the post-American wretch from here on in:
Obama.

Yes. What this country’s economy most needs at this moment is for its President to talk more about himself and his and the wife’s upbringings.
Because Barry Soetoro’s narcissism is gonna pay your bills.

Even as far back as the days when the Democratic elites held legal title on human beings as their personal property, they’ve always believed in profiting from the labors of others. Has anything changed in the last 145 years? No. Democratic bosses and their lackeys still believe in the principles of paternalism, dynasticism, and “labor management,” generally. They are identity politicians first and last —always ready to steal or cheat to keep their power.
These days, of course, Americans are not born to the condition of slavery, but the adherence of some to the Democratic Party certainly qualifies as a congenital defect that shares certain aspects of that condition. Yet, even this can be ameliorated and overcome through embracing intellectual honesty and admitting that this country has been ill-served by the current Administration of Marxist thugs and post-American liars.
That’s right: I think it’s time for Democrats to apologize to Americans for what they have done to this country.

And I can’t find any comment from notorious anti-car tosser and alleged economist Duncan Black, the Philadelphia-based apologist for Paul Krugman, regarding this absurdity.
What’s up with that? I mean, Black’s blog is obviously a money-maker, so is he going to be, as Joe Biden says, patriotic —or is he gonna fight the power?

Say, wouldn’t it be wild if it were found out —in some genuine and documentable way— that Obamajesus was deliberately using the Deepwater Horizon disaster as a pretext for punishing his political and familial enemies? It’s almost like our country is at the mercy of a lying narcissist whose sense of grievance and vindictiveness is imperial in its disregard. Our republican virtues have been sacrificed on an altar of identity politics and Marxist classism.
At this point, don’t Democrats have some sort of moral obligation to admit that they were wrong to have done this to a great civilization? How much further will their delusions go unchecked? I think anyone who voted for Obama owes it to himself and his fellow citizens to acknowledge the stupidity of his choice.
Especially any Democrat who supported Hillary.

The inexplicably jolly Christina Romer is quitting the Obama Administration. I don’t know if her actual beliefs got in the way of her official story, but you can expect to see more of these miserable dopes slide off the decks in the next few months. The fact that such a high-profile Obamaton is going now means that she couldn’t bear the economic gibberish she was obligated to spout any more, but could not wait until after the November elections to quit. So Romer quit long enough before them to give the other rats something to sink about.
The elites do not care about intellectual —only ideological— consistency.

What if the States (and let’s start occasionally capitalizing that term again if we really mean anything at all by Federalism) that are now caught up in challenging the Obamatons on the immigration question were to pass their own laws very simply making it illegal to violate Federal immigration law within their own jurisdictions?
After all, how could the Federal government sue a State for observing Federal law?
That’s what’s happening, anyway, because it is already illegal to be here —wait for it— illegally! Who knew?
You cannot bring down unemployment or fully institute Government Medicine or address Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security until you first “comprehensively” (isn’t that a favorite term of the amnesty lobby?) address immigration. There’s no getting around that.
Next topic of interest: asylum cities. Are municipalities to be condoned in their disregard for Federal immigration law while States are attacked by an idiotic President and Attorney General for essentially enforcing Federal immigration law?
I hope these miserable Democrats lose 60 seats in the House. They deserve it.

Did you see Obama’s renomination of Ben Bernanke as Chairman of the Federal Reserve today?
Bernanke’s slightly better on the TelePrompTer.
What a creepy bit of historical B-roll.
Again: how does Obama manage to convince people he’s that smart?
