Here’s how the New York Times reports today’s developments in the case against the miserable anti-Semite Jimmy Carter (emphases mine):

ATLANTA, Jan. 11 — Fourteen of the city’s business and civic leaders resigned from the Carter Center’s advisory board on Thursday to protest former President Jimmy Carter’s recent criticisms of Israel and American Jewish political power.

Their joint letter of resignation denounced Mr. Carter’s best-selling book, “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid,” for its criticisms of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. The letter also took issue with comments Mr. Carter has made suggesting that Israel’s supporters in the United States are using their power to stifle debate on the issue.

“It seems you have turned to a world of advocacy, even malicious advocacy,” the letter said. “We can no longer endorse your strident and uncompromising position. This is not the Carter Center or the Jimmy Carter we came to respect and support.”

The 14 who resigned were members of the center’s board of councilors, a group of more than 200 local leaders who act as ambassadors and fund-raisers for the center but do not determine its policy or direct its operations.

Among the letter signers were Michael Coles, the chief executive of the Caribou Coffee Company; William B. Schwartz Jr., the ambassador to the Bahamas during Mr. Carter’s presidency; Liane Levetan, a former chief executive of DeKalb County, Ga.; and S. Stephen Selig III, who served as national finance chairman for the Carter-Mondale Presidential Committee.

Yeah, but just look at those names. What do you want they should do?

While waiting for a movie to start a few doors down this afternoon, I went into a Borders bookstore and straight over to a copy of Jimmy Carter’s latest pro-Palestinian excretions, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid.

I was interested in looking over the chronology that comes at the beginning of the book because I had read that it is as manipulative and dishonest as the author himself.

You may be certain of that.

After a couple of minutes poring over those few pages, it was clear that Carter’s chronology is so rife with gaps and decontextualized “facts” as to be worse than worthless. After all, one cannot seriously compile a chronology of the history of the Middle East or of the relationship between Jews and Muslims or of any other similarly ancient and complex story in the space of fewer than a dozen generously-spaced pages —so why would one even attempt it?

Maybe it’s to fool the kind of shitforbrains partisans that would actually spend money on his garbage into thinking that the book they’re reading is actually a work of scholarship or historical explication.

It is not. It is a work of propaganda to be praised by and shared among the like-minded.

Jimmy Carter is a wretched anti-Semite. The only reason why he is not more widely regarded as such is because he enjoys the protections of the Leftist press in this country who routinely bury the cat turds of his wisdom lest they be more fully sniffed out by the American People.

I realize, of course, that exterminating Islamofascist murderers is just another way of saying that we Westerners are making more Islamofascist murderers, but indulge me, anyway (emphases mine):

Over the last two days the IDF dropped leaflets over Lebanon containing lists of Hezbollah terrorists killed in fighting with IDF forces. The lists contain the names of 180 terrorists killed and whose identities were verified by IDF forces.

The IDF reportedly holds the names of additional Hezbollah terrorists whose deaths have also been confirmed, and according to their estimates, over 530 Hezbollah terrorists have been killed since the start of the fighting.

The IDF has also broadcast the lists of these names to the Lebanese public by breaking into Hezbollah broadcasts on Al-Manar television and Nur radio station.

The Israelis have been doing that a lot, actually: breaking into the Lebanese television and radio to let the local Germans Shiites and other sympathizers know what the Nazis Hizballah are up to.

And they don’t even have to use PhotoShop to do it.

My advice to the IAF is this: if you’ve already been convicted of the crime, you really ought to just go ahead and commit it.

If you haven’t already read this masterpiece of a column by Thomas Sowell, avail yourself now. As Sowell observes:

There was a time when it would have been suicidal to threaten, much less attack, a nation with much stronger military power because one of the dangers to the attacker would be the prospect of being annihilated.

“World opinion,” the U.N. and “peace movements” have eliminated that deterrent. An aggressor today knows that if his aggression fails, he will still be protected from the full retaliatory power and fury of those he attacked because there will be hand-wringers demanding a cease fire, negotiations and concessions.

That is what the UN does. It insults the sovereignty of Israel at the behest of its Mohammedan overlords and their dhimmi sympathizers. Never mind your tedious litany of resolutions that Israel has supposedly violated: all you need to know is Resolution 1559. That’s the one that says that Hizballah must be disarmed. But did that happen? Of course not. Israel honored its end of the deal and withdrew from Lebanon six years ago —while the UN permitted Hizballah to build itself up into the sword of Damocles. And now these same assholes want to criticize Israel for defending itself against a threat it knew was coming because they themselves would not act to disarm Hizballah?

It must be that there is something inherent in the constitution of the State of Israel that does not admit of self-defense. There must be an actual reason why a lesser military power (Hizballah) is allowed to start a war against a nuclearized country (Israel). But what could these be? What is the nature of Eurabia’s complaint against the [Zionist Entity]? It must be very old —something inculcated into generation after generation, escaping reason or any kind of thought at all.

Israel will not vaporize Beirut. They will not waste themselves on the monster’s arm when its head and its heart are at the essence of the problem. And that is where Israel must eradicate the threat to its existence.

I know this will happen. And it overwhelms me.

I wouldn’t believe a single thing to come out of the mouths of any of the so-called leaders of the Lebanese political establishment. They’re either in fear of their lives at the hands of Hizballah or they are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Syria. In either case, they are lying to stay alive or stay in power.

And this bullshit about Hizballah enjoying 80 percent-plus support across the political spectrum in Lebanon? Gibberish. The Christians and Druze and Sunnis would elect an outright majority of Hizballah members to their parliament if elections were held today? Who the hell is supplying that number? It’s pathetic.

The Lebanese people are obviously terrified and humiliated and enraged at Israel right now, but it’s a total joke (along the lines of the exit polling bullshit that was flying around on our own Election Day of 2004) to believe that they would consent to have their country run by these filthy Nazis. Don’t tell me that the same kids who were out in the streets of Beirut protesting the assassination of Rafiq Hariri and celebrating the Mehlis Report and the withdrawal of the Syrian army are now excited at the prospect of being ruled by a bunch of Islamofascists.

It’s manifestly a lie —and the Big Media craphounds should be ashamed of themselves for not rebutting such nonsense on the spot.

Of course, considering the fact that CNN often gains its access to totalitarian regimes by agreeing to not confuse the propagandists’ lies with clear counterarguments, it’s no surprise that they would uncritically broadcast this stuff.

There’s definitely some badasses at work in Lebanon —and it ain’t the Nazi Party of God, either.

I was watching an interview a while ago with one of Assad’s talking cockroaches (some woman billed as a “Syrian cabinet minister”) and this thing alludes to the rationale of Nazi Germany in starting their war of aggression as another instance where the ostensible reason was “fighting terrorism” —just as Israel is now doing in Lebanon.

Well, Israel does not proclaim on an hourly basis that its ultimate goal is to eradicate the Arab peoples. Israel is not interested in conquering the Middle East or pursuing racial purity through the mass murder of homosexuals and untermenschen. Its economy does not depend on the slave labor of concentration camps and it doesn’t enter into treaties as a means of buying time for its further aggressions.

In fact, Israel isn’t anything at all like the Nazis. Israel is a place where Jews could again find some semblance of safety and autonomy in the wake of Nazi Germany’s and the Soviet Union’s practice of genocide against the Jewish peoples. This is an historical fact —understood and experienced within living memory.

When puppet-headed cunts like this woman make such a comparison between Nazis and Israeli Jews, it is a deliberate abuse of History. It is a way of inflaming the Jew-hatred that too many in this world share. I think that the Big Media outlets that choose to air such propaganda should make more of an effort to challenge and rebut what is obviously an offensive slander.

If Hizballah is such a wonderful organization —and since it is a political party within Lebanese society— why aren’t they amenable to diplomatic persuasion? Why aren’t they responding to this situation through political means?

Because their kind of politics may be summed up in a single word —so much better, of course, in the original German: Judenhass.

They aren’t interested in the usual processes that characterize what we Americans think of as political partisanship: compromise, horse-trading, parliamentary manuevering, etc. That has never been their purpose or desire. All they live for is the destruction of the Zionist entity and the Jewish people.

This really isn’t politics by other means, as Clausewitz put it. This is the latest manifestation of generations of hatred that doesn’t seek to co-exist, but to annihilate. As such, I don’t think a “political solution” is worth a damn.

Fuck the Cedar Revolution if this is what comes of it.
