Collusion Collision

Last September, when the Koran-burner Terry Jones threatened to incinerate a copy of that very angry book, the Obama Administration and Big Media worked very hard together to give him as much notoriety and airtime as they could so as to demonstrate to the Muslim world their own tolerance by contrast. But now that this obscure gesture-maker and attention-getter in Florida has gone and finally burned a Koran (what, like, two weeks ago?), these very same exploiters want to scold him and hold him accountable for acts of murder committed in Afghanistan on Friday. Instead, they should hold themselves accountable for their appalling stupidity in using an American citizen with an unalienable claim on certain Constitutional rights to cynically try to improve their own image among nutbags who can’t even abide cartoons of the so-called Prophet. How do these dolts come by these mad props with such ham-handedness?

After all, Jones has as much right to burn a Koran as some fucking hippie does to burn an American flag. Or do his beliefs as a Christian —even the “extreme” ones— negate his First Amendment rights? Clever post-American degenerates need to think about that some. Are they letting their own bigotry against Christians militate against a proper regard for the First Amendment? Or are they so afraid of giving false offense to jihadist murderers who need no excuse to murder in the name of Allah that they would forget their own integrity as liberal Westerners? Whatever their rationale, the moral exhibitionism of Obama and his Administration and its tools in Big Media from before has now come back to embarrass them for the users they are. After all, they never had any control over this villain they made because they never should have had any control over him. If Jones is a proximate cause of those UN workers’ murders, how can these craphounds and politicians be any less culpable?!

Enjoy your new war on Muslim Country No. 4, Barry. I’m sure that your inevitable alienation and disappointment of democratic aspirations in Libya will be far less antagonistic to the Ummah than a symbolic gesture of contempt made by a media creation other than yourself.

Obama’s War in Libya

Now that the President has made regime change in Libya a personal goal, his war there will be a failure if Khaddafi and his family wind up staying in power. Thus, his belief that he can prosecute this war from the air and in a limited way and without calling it war and without appearing to be responsible for it is delusional. Obama has abandoned so many of his own anti-war principles that he is simply incredible. Will his partisans hold him responsible? No, but some of the more clever ones might try to show they have a little intellectual integrity by criticizing him by proxy in criticizing his Administration, particulary Hillary. They’ll use her as soon as things turn so bad that not even Sulzberger or Immelt or Soros could work to hide it from the public.

Bottom line: the President waited too long to defend the people of Libya against their own government. By missing the window so badly, this war will be prolonged. And it may even turn Obama’s uncritical masses in the soft middle against him.

Reagan tried to kill Khaddafi; Obama now must kill Khaddafi.

North Africa, South Africa

Posted in Africa and Arabia, Big Media, History, personal at 21:46 by Toby Petzold

In North Africa, the Egyptians are following the Tunisians in demanding liberty —and my friend whose husband is from Tunisia and who still maintains family and business interests there says that everybody they know is happy with the developments. Maybe a little nervous about security issues of various kinds, but feeling that things can only get better now.

And in the country of South Africa, the indispensable Mandela is ailing. I remember watching with pride the scenes of voters standing in miles-long lines that his moral example made possible. But now he seems small —a martyr who lived and who came to endure his own irrelevance.

I will be interested to see how all of these remarkable events are covered on the TV.

Filling the Memory Hole

Remember all of those anti-war and anti-Bush Democrats from just two years ago? Remember all of their treasonous accusatons of war crimes and mortal deceit? Well, where are they now while their own beloved President, conceived in messianism and cultural redemption, routinely wages war on Pakistan with drones and CIA operations of every kind —just like that terrible braggart from Texas? These hippie users are mostly silent. And because they are they are shown for what they were under the previous Administration, which was a bunch of liars denouncing the War for Iraq and the War against Islamofascism, in general, for purely partisan reasons and not because they were genuinely opposed. What else would explain their silence now if not their common partisanship with this President?

And go get a sense of where the Chosen One has been on the issue of the “good war” in Afghanistan. He has no heart for it and everyone knows that now, thanks to his own authorization of Bob Woodward to do his latest leaky treatment of the Presidency.

Aren’t the nationalist elements in Pakistan eventually going to tire of this un-secret war Obama is prosecuting on their land and do something to retaliate? Don’t the Democrats know that their great savior is expanding the war? Where are all of those warnings and useless pop-psychologizing that the hippies used to issue that every word to come out of Bushitler’s mouth was just giving the jihadis more reason to come at us? Are those uselss old anti-war bromides no longer valid?

Watch Pakistan carefully. Obama has had his eye on that country for a long time now. He’d best make sure he knows what to do next if he takes the tiger by the tail.

Fooled and Imbalanced

It’s inappropriate for the President to attack the FOX News Network so particularly because, until his rhetorical vehemence for the actual enemies of his administration and, presumably, this country matches that which he lays on his online and on-air political detractors, he will continue to make indulging his own personal umbrage apparently more important to him than correctly condemning the words and actions of anti-American psychotics like Ahmadinejad.

Besides, letting people know how much they annoy you is weak. Barry’s so thin-skinned he’s bound to be embarrassed.

The Third War

Posted in America, Big Media, Bush Administration, Democrats, History, Islamofascism, Obama Administration, Unexplained Mysteries at 22:18 by Toby Petzold

I just watched a very strange interview between Rachel Maddow and Dick Holbrooke on MSNBC. One imagines that Holbrooke was sent there to reassure the few godforsaken hippie hypocrites who still watch that wretched network that Obama isn’t actually prosecuting the intense drone war against the Islamofascists in Pakistan that he very obviously is and that, even if he is, these are really bad people and it’s not a problem for loyal Democrats to [worry about now] as it certainly was on the relatively few occasions that Bushitler himself sent drones to attack Pakistanis on Pakistani soil.

But Maddow’s conscience is sometimes in evidence and, so, she pressed Holbrooke on the question of whether Pakistan is a third theater of operations for us. Is it a third war? No, says Holbrooke, who then blames Bushitler for having treated Afghanistan and Pakistan as separate and presumably sovereign nations. But why was that a mistake? Because Obama doesn’t want to have to be bothered with drawing those distinctions anymore. He doesn’t want the legal complications that the putatively lawless Bushitler burdened himself with. And you know what? If his allies in Big Media aren’t going to question his prerogative to wage war against Afghanistan’s neighbor to the east as they did just a few years ago, then Obama’s really only doing what he can get away with, being so “historic” and godlike, of course.

Oh, and remember all the flooding that devastated probably a fifth of Pakistan this past summer? Well, that’s one of those crises that we haven’t let go to waste: it turns out, according to my take on Holbrooke’s spin, that Obama is paying hush money to the Pakistanis while he steps up the air raids on their soil. Only we’re calling it aid to rebuild after the flooding.

Whatever it is, Obama is indeed waging war on a sovereign nation —one with nukes and nuts aplenty. Are you okay with that, Obamatons?

Tales from the DVR: Yesterday’s This Week with Christiane Amanpour

I’m watching ABC’s This Week with Christiane Amanpour for the first time and I must say that she certainly knows how to take on the enemies of America: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Christine O’Donnell.

If Ms. Amanpour’s understanding of what the Tea Party really is were any slighter, she’d have to nail it to her own head to keep it from floating away.

Incidentally, why is the chairman of the Delaware Republican Party allowing himself to be used like this? Are the Republicans playing the biggest good cop-bad cop routine ever? Why else is this clown on the panel to contribute to the ad hominem attacks on someone who is now, like it or not, his own nominee?

My Koran

Posted in America, Big Media, Election of 2010, Obama Administration, personal, religion at 18:48 by Toby Petzold

I own a copy of the Koran and have no need to burn it.

I read a large chunk of my Koran when I first got it, but soon tired of it because it’s a tedious rant. The only pacificity I remember finding in the Holy Book of the Religion of Peace is that which is threatened to come with total submission to an angry Supreme Deity and his Sole Representative. I was not edified.

I don’t care whether Terry Jones burns his Koran tomorrow, but I do care that the so-called Fourth Estate in this country has found it appropriate to concoct this incident of moral exhibitionism and thereby elicit judgements upon it by everybody from the Secretary of Defense (!) to his boss. Why has this happened? Why does Big Media do this if not for the profit? What sequence of events elevated this one guy’s gesture of contempt to such great moment? Is Rupert Murdoch to blame? Maybe it was a blogger who’s mastered the chaos theory of information.

Whatever the motivation, it has spawned immense absurdities too pathetic to even pass for entertainment. The notion of the Secretary of State, for instance, speaking of Jones’ intentions as though he were threatening to kill a hostage is appalling. Why would she or any other member of this regime choose to invest Jones with such influence if not to make him into a conspicuous counterpoint to their own self-serving expressions of enlightenment? These are ridiculous choices that the leadership of our country is making to make a point which has no need of being made in the first place.

But keep on defending Muslims with a moist eye, Barack Hussein Obama. Keep taking the bait of defending their victory mosque and their holy book and their rights, in general. That’s a surefire way, as it were, of persuading people that you are a Christian gentleman after all.
