What Obama Said to Letterman

During his appearance on Letterman last month, Obama the Expiator of All Thy Sins said of Nakoula Nakoula that he is “someone who lives here” and that he is a “sort of a shadowy character.” The rest of Obama’s word salad regurgiated for his fanboy Letterman were the incoherent stumblings of a liar too proud to admit that he’s been busted. Nothing he can do now will unring the bell of his lost credibility.

So “someone who lives here” is a transient notion to my ears. Obama didn’t call Nakoula a citizen or an American, pointedly. Then he calls him “sort of a shadowy character,” which is not a phrase used in normal human conversation, but in the minds of fiction-writers. But what does this President know about Nakoula? As an ethical matter, he ought to know more about him than most, considering what value he has derived from their association. Does Obama pay him somehow? Is he on the payroll of the State Department? Is he a company spook? You’re telling me that we don’t have some use of an English-speaking Egyptian Copt, if that’s what Nakoula really is?

Barack Obama doesn’t really care about the Constitution. He thinks it’s acceptable to knowingly bear false witness against his neighbor, Nakoula Nakoula. The President of the United States and his Secretary of State and his ambassador to the UN, among many others, have allowed the personal destruction of this “shadowy character” to provide themselves with some poor excuse. Why can’t they just see that it was a symbolic nose-bloodying, carried out on the anniversary of Osama’s great triumph? Or do they allow the possibility that it was a revenge attack for Obama’s drone assassination in June of the al-Qaedist murderer Abu Yahya al-Libi? Zawahiri himself put out the call for revenge the night before Benghazi! And Obama and Hillary want you to believe the annihilation of our Benghazi mission is because of an obscure propaganda video?

Be a patriot and vote against Obama. Your intellectual integrity depends on it.

The New York Times Has Contempt for You

On his program this evening, Bret Baier held up a copy of today’sNew York Times and said that it did not contain a single story about Libya. Is that really possible? The so-called “Paper of Record,” just nine days after our consulate in Benghazi was attacked and our ambassador murdered, had no new details to report? That’s embarrassing. Nor is it credible.

The Fourth Estate stands suspect with the regime it supports.

The markets are crashing and the credit goes to everyone who refuses to acknowledge the necessity of substantial entitlement reform, as well as of cutting both military and discretionary spending. Whole departments of the Federal government will be gone before the Great Recession ends because we cannot keep feeding Leviathan.

There is a capital strike in this country that’s been caused by one major factor: the control of the Federal government by the Democratic Party. The Democrats are the party of drilling moratoriums and health care waivers and utter fucking recalcitrance on the entire subject of reforming the Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. And as long as these ideologues are in a position to abuse the power of the state at the expense of private capital and personal liberty, then our economy will remain stuck in these doldrums.

There’s no solution but new leadership. Obamajesus is an inexcusable failure.

Collusion Collision

Last September, when the Koran-burner Terry Jones threatened to incinerate a copy of that very angry book, the Obama Administration and Big Media worked very hard together to give him as much notoriety and airtime as they could so as to demonstrate to the Muslim world their own tolerance by contrast. But now that this obscure gesture-maker and attention-getter in Florida has gone and finally burned a Koran (what, like, two weeks ago?), these very same exploiters want to scold him and hold him accountable for acts of murder committed in Afghanistan on Friday. Instead, they should hold themselves accountable for their appalling stupidity in using an American citizen with an unalienable claim on certain Constitutional rights to cynically try to improve their own image among nutbags who can’t even abide cartoons of the so-called Prophet. How do these dolts come by these mad props with such ham-handedness?

After all, Jones has as much right to burn a Koran as some fucking hippie does to burn an American flag. Or do his beliefs as a Christian —even the “extreme” ones— negate his First Amendment rights? Clever post-American degenerates need to think about that some. Are they letting their own bigotry against Christians militate against a proper regard for the First Amendment? Or are they so afraid of giving false offense to jihadist murderers who need no excuse to murder in the name of Allah that they would forget their own integrity as liberal Westerners? Whatever their rationale, the moral exhibitionism of Obama and his Administration and its tools in Big Media from before has now come back to embarrass them for the users they are. After all, they never had any control over this villain they made because they never should have had any control over him. If Jones is a proximate cause of those UN workers’ murders, how can these craphounds and politicians be any less culpable?!

Enjoy your new war on Muslim Country No. 4, Barry. I’m sure that your inevitable alienation and disappointment of democratic aspirations in Libya will be far less antagonistic to the Ummah than a symbolic gesture of contempt made by a media creation other than yourself.

Watching MSNBC before the SOTU

This Democratic Representative from NY, Carolyn McCarthy, talking to the oddly well-behaved Lawrence O’Donnell is a gun control nut who is using Tucson as a pretext for promoting her gun control nuttiness —and Dick Cheney’s opinion of extended ammo clips is irrelevant. Why do hippies think that they can get rid of enough guns and magazines and ammunition to make America safe? It’s almost as stupid a belief as the Republicans’ delusion that it’s possible to completely eradicate marihuana. What childish crap! If it is some psychopath’s purpose to commit mass murder, how likely is it that he will be deterred by too short an ammo clip?

Just say no to gun control enthusiasts and gateway drug addicts.

Big Brother Is Watching You

The local paper is reporting that my alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin, has commissioned a mural by Shepard Fairey, the guy who created Obama’s now-famous “HOPE” icon.

I guess such a bullshit expenditure in tough times makes sense to someone.

Socialist Realism as an artform is unsubtle and just the sort of shit that totalitarian groupies can rally round, but it does have its appeal. For me, much of that appeal is derived from remembering that such charming propaganda ultimately failed. Whatever alien culture or government it once served did not survive —but now it has re-emerged to represent America’s first post-American President to the rest of the world.

I left my opinion where I found the story, but the wankers at the Statesman will probably flush it from the Intertubes, so here it is again:

Fairey’s HOPE poster is an example of Socialist Realism in the manner of Soviet tractor beefcake. Obamachrist himself recognized that two years ago when he embraced it as part of his brand. So right there should have been warning enough to you puny humans that the man is a straight-up cherry cordial.

The First Step

Eric Holder suggests that changes are coming in the War on Drugs:

San Francisco — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is sending strong signals that President Obama – who as a candidate said states should be allowed to make their own rules on medical marijuana – will end raids on pot dispensaries in California.

Asked at a Washington news conference Wednesday about Drug Enforcement Administration raids in California since Obama took office last month, Holder said the administration has changed its policy.

“What the president said during the campaign, you’ll be surprised to know, will be consistent with what we’ll be doing here in law enforcement,” he said. “What he said during the campaign is now American policy.”

“You’ll be surprised to know”? Why? Just because Obama was in favor of liberalizing the policy as a candidate, then allowed the raids to continue once in office, and now is reversing himself again?

There’s no doubt that the criminalization of marihuana in America makes for stupid and counterproductive policy and law. How much more effective would our border security be if the rationale for smuggling marihuana into our country were disincentivized? Only those drug dealers who were intent on moving coke and crank and other hardcore drugs into this country would find it worth the risk. And since their numbers are much smaller, our present interdictions would thereby become proportionately more effective.

I applaud the President and his race-baiting attorney general for this important first step towards full legalization, and I hope they are not bullied off their position by the drug war absolutists whose lack of common sense is destroying lives, wasting money, and undermining our border security.

Stop the Presses

Really? A world-class athlete smokes pot? Get outta here! Doesn’t Michael Phelps know that marihuana is a “gateway drug” to which he should have just said “no”?

According to the Federal Government, marihuana is a Schedule I controlled substance —just like heroin or ecstasy. Is that supposed to make sense?  No, it’s fucking crap. Just accept it and move on.

Oh, and how about the biggest killer of them all? Where does tobacco rank? What “schedule” is nicotine?

Uh, well. It’s, uh, it’s not listed by the DEA on any of the schedules.

And, yet, it is a certified mass murderer. One that we tax and depend on for various actuarial reasons, of course, but a legally protected and widely available mass murderer.

How about it, President Obama? Where will your drug policies differ from J. Edgar’s?

Sticking the Dick in the Mashed Potatoes

Posted in America, Big Brother, New Economy, Obama Administration, marihuana, racism, stupidity at 18:38 by Toby Petzold

That’s what much of America’s so-called War on Drugs is all about: maintaining leverage in certain communities by pursuing unwinnable policies at the street level. Using drug charges as predicates or doggie snacks or swords of Damocles. It’s hard to believe that the Community Organizer-in-Chief is down for keeping the black markets black and making criminals out of people and making markets out of criminality. After all, you can’t benefit from or integrate with what you drive underground and you can’t be morally serious by incentivizing lawlessness —for both the putative criminal and the System alike.

And so it is: the other part of the so-called War on Drugs is all about the Full Employment Act for Cops, Judges, and the Prison Industry. How many thousands of young men are in prison right now for the sale or possession of marihuana? Is that really why we maintain prisons? How about it, President Obama? How many different ways are you going to lie to us and lie to yourself about why we can’t legalize industrial hemp and marihuana? How many young men’s lives are being ruined by their associations in our prisons this very night with actual murderers, rapists, and robbers on simple account of some marihuana deal?

As they say, if not now, when? And if not you, who?

I want more for my paradigm-shifting dollar, please.

Socialist

Posted in America, Big Brother, Big Media, Democrats, Election of 2008, History, New Economy, Republicans, language, moonbats, stupidity, voting at 19:34 by Toby Petzold

If John McCain would simply describe Barack Obama as a socialist, wouldn’t that almost compel a public discussion of what that word means? I don’t think some people know what’s involved. “Spreading the wealth around” may sound like a great idea to a teenager who’s working for minimum-wage, but to the 40 year-old businessperson who hired this kid to stock the shelves, it’s worrisome to consider that taxes and employee-related costs are going up. As they say, poor people never gave anybody a job —unless you count jobs created by the social necessity of cleaning up after these same people’s mistakes. At that sort of job creation, the social, intellectual, and economic underclasses excel.

The Obamatons are becoming ever more explicit in their grand schemes for the post-Republican, post-American paradise of Obama’s socialist state. They are beginning to bully and cheat in broad daylight. They are, like the terrorists they sympathize and associate with, becoming emboldened. And to what end? To disincentivize work? To undermine the bases of competition and self-worth? To suppress political dissent for the sake of the “common good”? Well, there’s one for you and nineteen for me. Think that’s fanciful? Did you ever think you would see the economic events of the past six weeks? Neither did I.
