The Treasury of Carbon
The surest evidence that what we are witnessing in this country is a Socialist power grab is the Democrats’ pursuit of the carbon tax. It is a measure that, by any measure, is unnecessary and highly ideological. The Leftists have convinced themselves, however, that their ideology in this regard is entirely justified by Science. Therefore, they seek to impose a tax on fossil fuels that will immediately burden the Little Man in the name of [higher reason]. And to what other end and into whose pockets? Well, uh, we’ll get to that later. But Science is God and God says let there be penance paid and sins remitted. The United Nations, I guess, will become the Arbiter of Nations and administer the programs funded by this disgusting tithe that is to be extracted from the pocketbooks and wallets of the American People.
To the Marxist, every truth may be divined by a deconstruction of the economics of a particular society, but there are equally essential cultural considerations that are never fully weighed by these people. There are morals and mores and folkways that do not submit to the quantifications and the soulless calculations of the America-hating Leftist because he pursues only [economic and scientific truth].
But do not doubt the turbulence of the thought now coursing through the ranks of what Nixon called the Great Silent Majority. I predict there will be moments of full volume to come when real Americans will speak out against this crime and demand proportion from their Government again and at last.
