The Ickiness of Girldom
Barack Hussein Obama has a problem with women. I don’t know if this can be attributed to his upbringing under the influence of Islam, or fatherlessness in general, but it is a real factor in his character.
First, in a move that has already sealed his defeat, he refused to choose Hillary Rodham Clinton for the ticket. We may find some day that she told Obama she wasn’t interested and that he made a pledge not to disclose that, but does that sound plausible? Why should that have been a mutually satisfactory arrangement in light of all that led up to the convention? These two people have their party split in half and they will lose the Presidency because of it. Neither of them can claim that party unity is important if dismissing the idea of a unity ticket was what they came up with. They could have sold themselves as a virtual Co-Presidency for Change —with explicitly enunciated areas of authority for Hillary— and it would have energized the Democratic Party. Instead, after picking Joe Biden from a position of weakness, Obama let it be known that Hillary hadn’t been vetted as even a pro forma gesture when he had said that she would be on “anybody’s short list” for the Vice Presidency. That’s disrespect —which is also what the Obama candidacy itself is.
Then, when John McCain introduced Sarah Palin last Friday and utterly disspelled the afterglow of Obama’s show at Caesar’s Palace, Obama’s campaign immediately proceeded to freak out. It’s all been bewildered condescension ever since, accompanied by a very obvious, almost adolescent, sort of jealousy of the attention she’s drawing. What a crybaby Obama’s become (emphasis mine):
Sen. Barack Obama ditched his normal languid cool today, punching back at Gov. Sarah Palin as he spoke with reporters in York, Pa, hotly defending his work as a community organizer. He said he assumes Palin “wants to be treated same way guys want to be treated, which means their records are under scrutinty. I’ve been through this for 19 months. She’s been through it, what four days?”
Obama’s hackles were clearly raised by Palin’s dismissal of his community organizing –a response to his earlier dismissal of her record as a small-town mayor. “Why would that kind of work be ridiculed?” Obama said. “Who are they fighting for?” The idea that community organizing is not relevant to the presidency, he said, just shows why Republicans “are out of touch and don’t get it.”
What does that even mean, Barry? It isn’t any more necessary —by your own purported standards— to consider Palin’s gender in regards to how she’s “treated” than it is to consider your racial identity in how you are treated. You are a remarkably immature man and an egomaniac who can’t stand admitting he’s wrong. Not only have you rejected the one woman who could have made your candidacy a success, but now you can’t even bring yourself to acknowledge that there may be another woman out there who’s better than you at electrifying the party base. Sarah Palin is at least as qualified to be a national leader as you are, dude, so you’d better recognize.
