Bomb Damascus
I know exactly what we must do to stop the conflict between the Israelis and the parasite-terrorists holding the Lebanese people hostage: tell Assad that he has 72 hours to put a stop to Hizballah’s rocket attacks or we’ll wipe out his capital. That’s right: bomb Damascus.
This will accomplish three things:
1) We will find out immediately just how much stroke the Syrians have with their friends in the “Party of God.” If they have some, then we will have ended the attacks on our allies in Israel with nothing more than the threat of action; if Assad has no stroke, then we will have helped destroy his government —an objective we should have in mind, anyway.
2) While we’re bombing Damascus, we can take out the rat lines going into al-Anbar from eastern Syria. This will help us control our own situation in Iraq.
3) Bombing Damascus into dust will serve as the best possible advertisement to the Islamofascists running Iran that they can be destroyed, too, if need be.
Syria is by far the weaker of Hizballah’s two sponsors. They can be severely damaged with a major American air campaign. And without direct action against Iran itself, we will have isolated them and put them on notice that we are not going to tolerate their proxy war against our allies in Israel.
