Howard Dean: More Faith in the Innocence of Osama bin Laden Than of Karl Rove
Howard Dean —chairman of the Democratic Party and a world-class craphound— is mad that Karl Rove will not be indicted:
“He does not belong in the White House,” Dean says. “If the president valued America more than he valued his connection to Karl Rove, Karl Rove would have been fired a long time ago. So, I think this is probably good news for the White House, but it is not very good news for America.”
Fired for what? Not getting indicted? What crime does Dean think Rove committed that the special prosecutor does not? Does Dean have some other source for his certainty besides Jason Leopold?
This is what Dean said about Osama bin Laden not too long ago:
“I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials,” he told the Concord Monitor in Dec. 2003.
Got that? Dean wouldn’t dare presume to say that Osama himself was guilty of mass murder —in an act of war against this country —but he’s certain that Rove committed some grave crime against the integrity of the American intelligence community.
What a stupid, stupid man.
